During this year, the Agency for Prevention of Corruption (APC) has sent about 80 cases to the Prosecutor's Office under the suspicion of corruption. This institution has also identified 30 public officials who did not declare their assets on time this year. This is what the director of the Agency for Prevention of Corruption, Yll Buleshkaj, told KosovaPress.

While talking about the cases under suspicion of corruption that have been sent to the prosecutor's office, he emphasizes that last year they sent 270 cases to the prosecutor's office under suspicion of corruption. According to him, about 30 indictments have been confirmed.

Despite the challenges, Buleshkaj says that Kosovo is in a good trend of preventing and fighting corruption, but adds that there is still a lot of work to be done in this direction.

Among other things, he says that in this direction, this Agency has won dozens of cases, but adds that there is still work to be done.

The Agency for Prevention of Corruption has identified about 30 public officials who have not declared their assets on time.

In the end, Buleshkaj adds that this institution is working on capacity building in order to work more in the fight against corruption, for which he hopes that the next year will be better in this direction.

On Friday, as part of the Anti-Corruption Week, a panel was held on the topic "The impact of corruption on Kosovo's integration into the European Union", in which the institutions were asked to increase transparency so that citizens have open access to information on how decisions are made and public money is spent. /E.
