As part of activities marking its 20th anniversary, Kosovo's Anti-Corruption Agency (ACA) today launched an electronic training module on conflict of interest and ethics, a platform designed to support the professional development of public officials and strengthen a culture of integrity in public administration.

According to the agency, the module was presented during the conference titled "Continuous Education – The Key to Preventing Conflicts of Interest," organized as part of the "Agency Week" activities.

In his opening remarks, Anti-Corruption Agency Director Yll Buleshkaj emphasized that the continuous education of public officials is one of the most important mechanisms for preventing conflicts of interest and strengthening institutional integrity.

“With this platform, we will provide public officials with the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of conflict of interest prevention through a simple electronic system. The platform was developed in cooperation with the Kosovo Institute for Public Administration and with the support of Germany’s GIZ,” Buleshkaj was quoted as saying in the statement.

He added that the next step, in cooperation with the relevant institutions, is to make training through this module part of the professional development of civil servants.

The electronic module was presented by ACA Senior IT and Systems Officer Fazli Stollaj, who explained the platform’s functionality and how it can be used.

He said the module consists of 10 topics covering the fundamental principles of conflict of interest prevention and has been developed on the Moodle platform, one of the most widely used international e-learning systems, which enables secure, flexible, and simultaneous access for a large number of users.

Following the launch, a panel discussion was held under the theme "Continuous Education – The Key to a Public Administration with Integrity."

The event was organized as part of "Agency Week," which is being held to mark the 20th anniversary of the Anti-Corruption Agency under the slogan "20 Years of Transparency and Integrity – Building Trust, Preventing Corruption."

The Anti-Corruption Agency reaffirmed its commitment to developing modern mechanisms that strengthen institutional integrity, support the professional development of public officials, and contribute to preventing corruption in the Republic of Kosovo.
