The voting process for the second round of local elections at “Hasan Prishtina” primary school in Prishtina is going smoothly and without issues. Citizens who exercised their right to vote at this polling center said there were no complications and that the process went well.

In the second round of local elections in Prishtina, the candidates are Përparim Rama from the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), the current mayor, and Hajrulla Çeku from the Vetëvendosje Movement (LVV).

Citizen Musliu Bunjaku said that the voting process was easy and without any confusion. He added that they expect the situation in Prishtina to improve after the November 9 runoff.

“Everything went well, we voted and fulfilled our obligation… There was nothing wrong, everything was fine… We hope for better than what we currently have,” he said.

Another citizen, Hakif Hoxha, also said that the voting process went smoothly and without issues, while adding that they expect change in the capital.

“Everything went fine, no issues… What we’ve been waiting for all along, but it never comes. Change, but it never happens. Still, we must fulfill our civic duty,” he emphasized.

Citizen Agim Murati also spoke to KosovaPress, noting that citizens in Prishtina are frustrated with heavy traffic and many other concerns.

“The process went very well and was easy. I don’t know how it could be easier… We hope for the best since citizens are tired of the frustrations affecting the city, like traffic congestion and other issues. Hopefully, whoever wins will fix them, because we’re exhausted,” he said.

Meanwhile, citizen Skënder Jahaj briefly said he believes governance in Prishtina will change.

“I believe the situation in Prishtina will change,” he said.

The number of eligible voters in Prishtina is 222,418, with a total of 51 polling centers and 268 polling stations.

In the first round, Përparim Rama from LDK received 33.71% of the vote, while Hajrulla Çeku from LVV received 33.21%.
