The vetting process is the best response to the shortcomings of the justice system, and through this process justice institutions will have judges and prosecutors with high professional integrity. This was said at the first meeting of the working group for drafting and finalizing legislation on the Vetting process in the justice system. The meeting was attended by many representatives of civil society, but representatives of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council (KPC) and those of the Kosovo Judicial Council (KJC) were absent. The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti said that the vetting will ensure a genuine and professional assessment of the integrity of judges and prosecutors of their performance and professionalism as well as to verify the assets of judges and prosecutors.
