Vetëvendosje is the party that has recorded the highest electoral victory in the history of parliamentary elections in Kosovo. In the 28 December vote, Albin Kurti’s movement achieved the highest percentage ever recorded by any political entity, according to a comparison by KosovaPress.

According to the latest data from the Central Election Commission (CEC), Vetëvendosje received 51.11 percent of the vote.

This party also holds the second-highest electoral result in the country’s history. This figure was achieved on 14 February 2021, when it secured 50.3 percent of the vote.

The third-best result in Kosovo’s electoral history belongs to the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK). The “remarkable” figure achieved by this party in the first post-war elections on 17 November 2001 was 45.65 percent.

LDK also holds the fourth position, having won 45.42 percent of the vote in the second national elections held on 24 October 2004.

Vetëvendosje returns in fifth place with a result of 42.3 percent in the elections of 9 February 2025.

The Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), although it governed the country for the longest period, ranks only as the holder of the sixth-best electoral result ever. In the elections of 17 November 2007—also known as the “independence elections”—the party won 34.32 percent of the vote.

Led by Hashim Thaçi, this party also holds seventh place in terms of electoral victories. On 12 December 2010, PDK came first with 32.11 percent.

Eighth place also belongs to this party. On 8 June 2014, it triumphed with 30.38 percent. However, Vetëvendosje also holds the record for the weakest result achieved by an election winner. Albin Kurti’s party won the elections of 6 October 2019, securing the confidence of only 26.27 percent of Kosovo’s voters.
