The statue of the nation's heroine Fetnete Ramosaj is unveiled
On Tuesday, the statue of the nation's heroine, Fetnete Ramosaj, was unveiled at the Cultural Complex in Deçan, in which case the chairman of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), Ramush Haradinaj, emphasized that Fetnete Ramosaj fought a double war, at the front and as a chronicler, witnessing the truth of the KLA war.
"Fellow fighter Fetnete Ramosaj, through her works, ensured that time does not stop the memory of our glorious war. She fought a double war, at the front and as a chronicler, testifying to the truth of the KLA war, and perpetuating the liberation war and keeping alive the ideal of freedom between generations", said Haradinaj.
Haradinaj added that the statue is erected in honor of her work and lifelong commitment to the Motherland.
"In honor of the work and lifelong commitment to the Motherland, today in Deçan, together with the Mayor Ramosaj and many comrades, we unveiled the statue of the Heroine of the Nation, Fetnete Ramosaj. Forever thankful and grateful to the Heroine, Fetnete Ramosaj!", said Haradinaj on Facebook.
During the day, a scientific panel was also held on the life and work of the heroine Fetnete Ramosaj.
Fetnete Ramosaj, since 1989, was an active member of the illegal and popular movement in Kosovo. She was an active participant in the liberation war, as a member of the Kosovo Liberation Army. During the war in Kosovo (1998-1999), among other things, she performed the duties of KLA Spokesperson for the Dukagjini Operative Zone. At the same time, she also reported for "KosovaPress" News Agency, Albanian Radio Television (RTSH), etc. She has collaborated with the international news agencies "Voice of America", "Deutsche Welle", "BBC" and with the Albanian press of the time in Kosovo, Albania and the diaspora.
