The Shtime Stadium is transformed into a modern arena, with an investment of around 2.5 million euros
The City Stadium of Shtime has as of today been equipped with new stands and a new pitch, investments valued at around 2.5 million euros.
The Acting Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, said that the reconstruction of this stadium is a miracle for athletes and sports fans, emphasizing that the construction phase was completed within a year and a half.
He stated that the investments amount to 2.5 million euros and that the works were completed in one and a half years.
“In this stadium, which has been reconstructed with around 2.5 million euros over a year and a half, this miracle has been created for athletes, for sport, for spectators, for football fans of all ages… enjoy it, and we wish the football club ‘Vjosa’ ever greater success in the future,” he said.
The Acting Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Hajrulla Çeku, said that the stadium has now reached the standards required for hosting professional matches.
“I believe that here the standard required to host official professional matches has been achieved. This is part of the investments the government is making across Kosovo to consolidate football infrastructure. This stadium has now been transformed and meets the conditions to serve footballers and the public. We will continue with many other investments throughout Kosovo so that within a few years our country will have the most advanced football infrastructure in the region,” he said.
The Mayor of Shtime, Qemajl Aliu, described the reconstruction of the stadium as the largest project ever built in the municipality he leads.
“To inaugurate one of the largest projects built in the Municipality of Shtime, the modern city stadium, I thank the minister and the prime minister for the care and attention they have shown to Shtime and its citizens,” he said.
The reconstruction of the City Stadium of Shtime was carried out as part of public investments aimed at improving sports infrastructure in Kosovo. The project included the construction of new stands, the renovation of the pitch, and improvements to technical conditions, with the aim of creating a functional environment for the development of matches and sports activities.
The works lasted about a year and a half, and the investment amounts to approximately 2.5 million euros. The stadium is expected to serve the football club “Vjosa,” as well as other sports and community activities, increasing citizens’ access to sport and recreation.
