The prosecution has requested life imprisonment for Naim Murseli, Kushtrim Kokalla and Granit Plava for the murder of the late Liridona Ademaj in the end of November of 2023.

This request was presented today by prosecutor, Javorka Perlincevic during the closing statement.

The case prosecutor, Javorka Perlincevic, called Naim Murseli the executioner of Liridona Ademaj.

“Let us focus on the facts presented by witnesses on the circumstances and facts mentioned in the main trial and not in the preliminary procedure, especially in the statement of Liridona Ademaj’s brother, Leonard, who after the murder regularly visits the children of the deceased Liridona Ademaj and Naim Murseli, and who has testified that during one visit of the children in Sweden the elder son in the presence of a psychologist said: ‘The thief put his hand in and made mom go bang’. Leonard has testified that the children have clarified the matter and do not wish to communicate with their father, Naim, and has rejected all phone calls enabled by the social services in Sweden for contact between Naim and his children,” she said.

The prosecutor Perlincevic said that during the main trial three defenses or as she called them “three scenarios” were heard which even Hollywood producers and screenwriters would envy.

“During this main trial we had the opportunity to see three well thought-out defenses, respectively ‘three different scenarios of one event’, given by the three accused, in which even producers and screenwriters of Hollywood would envy them. Each of the accused has tried to present himself as a person who has nothing to do with the commission of the criminal offense which is the subject of this procedure, shifting the blame to the other accused. The biggest sin is the acquaintance of the other two accused,” she said.

Further during her closing statement the prosecutor of the case, Javorka Perlincevic said that the life insurance policy payment in the name of the late Liridona Ademaj was made with awareness and planning, as after this payment Naim Murseli asked Kushtrim Kokalla to kill the late Liridona Ademaj.

“During a visit of police investigators to the detention center, Naim Murseli stated that his relationship with Liridona is broken, highlighting the reasons and concrete cases which during the main trial were also confirmed by the third accused Kushtrim Kokalla. Also Naim stated that Liridona did not want a divorce. Now we have broken relations in the Murseli family, we have a paid life insurance policy, we have Naim Murseli’s wish for his wife to be killed, which means that the accused Naim Murseli made a plan in 2022 and throughout the year before the murder involved the accused Kushtrim Kokalla. Who at first, as he says, is shocked and allegedly refuses to commit the murder of Liridona, but after being involved in that plan, Kushtrim Kokalla together with Naim find the third person who would carry out the murder of Liridona”, she said.

Currently in the session the final statement is being presented by Leonard, the brother of the late Liridona Ademaj who was killed on 29 November 2023 in Prishtina which was presented as a robbery.

In the hearing for the murder of Liridona Ademaj, life imprisonment for the murder of his sister was also requested by the brother of the late, Leonard Ademaj.
