The non-participation of senior Kosovo officials in the inauguration of the president-elect of the United States, Donald Trump, is being considered worrying by political analysts. According to them, this indicates the “damaged relations of this political establishment with the United States”.
Trump is sworn in today as the 47th president of the United States and will deliver the traditional inauguration speech in front of many attendees and world personalities.
President Vjosa Osmani sent a delegation headed by the ambassador to the US, Ilir Dugolli.
Meanwhile, the leader of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj, former president Behgjet Pacolli, the mayor of Pristina, Përparim Rama, and businessman Shkëlqim Devolli, are participating in the ceremony.
Political analyst Magbule Shkodra tells KosovaPress that it is good that various politicians and businessmen from Kosovo are participating in Trump's inauguration as president, but according to her, it was important that the country be represented at the highest level.
