The Assembly of Kosovo has reviewed and approved in principle the Draft Law for the ratification of the co-financing agreement for the feasibility study and draft idea for the Durres-Prishtina railway line. The Minister of Environment, Spatial Planning and Infrastructure, Liburn Aliu, has said that this co-financing agreement is aimed at defining the procedures and dividing the costs between the two countries. "It is essential for the economic and social development of both countries, the realization of this railway line is very important, which in almost all previous governments has been discussed in all meetings between the two governments. We are currently at a stage where we can realize the project and open up the possibility of creating this connection, which could then be associated with many other projects that would enable the circulation of goods from the Durres harbour to the entire Western Balkan region and that Prishtina would be the main distribution center of these goods", said Aliu.
