The assets of state officials will be investigated, as the concept paper on the Law on Confiscation of Unjustifiable Assets has already reached the executive. But in addition to those who have worked and work in state institutions, there is possibility that this law also investigates the property of citizens who do not have official positions. The Ministry of Justice says that they are in favor of creating a special Agency that would launch investigations into illegal property, which is not in line with legal revenues. The Deputy Minister of Justice, Blerim Sallahu for KosovaPress, stated that with this law, the burden of proof falls on the suspect who must justify the property, otherwise he says that the property will be declared illegal and confiscated by a court decision.
