Kosovo Police is ready to be a member of INTERPOL and meets all the necessary criteria, but the request for application to this international organization depends on the Government of Kosovo. Whereas, in terms of international police cooperation, Kosovo has made significant progress. This was said by Besnik Sallahu, Director of the Directorate for International Law Enforcement Cooperation Units, ILECU/ NJBNZL in the Kosovo Police during the meeting organized by EULEX on the topic of "international police cooperation and why it is important".

Regarding the international police cooperation with the five countries that have not recognized Kosovo's independence, Sallahu said that it exists, and that it will continue despite the decision of these countries towards Kosovo...
