Greater transparency from the government in Kosovo’s integration process into the European Union was requested on Wednesday in the Parliamentary Committee on European Integration, reports KosovaPress.

Chair of the committee and LDK MP Hykmete Bajrami, while discussing the review of the committee’s work plan, said it was necessary for Kosovo’s chief negotiator for EU integration, Jeton Zulfaj, to come to the committee this month to present a report.

According to her, ambassadors accredited in Pristina should also be invited to provide their perspective on Kosovo’s path toward the European Union.

However, she said that this agenda should take place in May, after seeing how the issue of the presidency is resolved, as the EU also prioritizes institutional stability in Kosovo.

A similar request was made by another opposition MP from AAK, Time Kadrijaj.

Meanwhile, committee member from LVV, Liza Gashi, emphasized the need to also organize a joint roundtable with all EU member state ambassadors.
