The KFOR Commander in Kosovo, Major General Enrico Barduani, visited Mitrovica on Wednesday.

Accompanied by a senior military delegation, he spent about an hour on the main Ibar bridge, where he was briefed on the general security situation in the city.

He walked to the beginning of the square in the north and then along the “Isa Boletini” and “Mehë Uka” squares in the south of the city, while he was accompanied by a considerable number of KFOR members.

Barduani declined to comment on his visit to Mitrovica today.

It is not known whether the KFOR commander’s visit is related to the possibility of some information about the opening of the bridge before the elections in Kosovo.
