A decade and a half after the beginning of decentralization, the integration of municipalities with a Serbian majority in the north still remains a challenge for Kosovo. At the conference of the Kosovar Institute for Local Governance (KLGI) on Monday, it was emphasized that decentralization has not been fully completed, therefore the new projections for local governance have slowed down.

The director of KLGI, Valmir Gashi, said that the local level should have greater implementation of the legal and sub-legal acts of the central government. He added that the municipal assemblies should have a higher level of supervision of the local government.
