The Regional Water Company "Prishtina" has today signed the Consultancy for Implementation contract (Component of the wastewater and storm water system), together with senior representatives from the German Development Bank KfW in Kosovo.

The chief executive officer of RWC "Prishtina", Arsim Fetahu, said that it is expected that the solution will be made for 4 municipalities: that of Prishtina, Graçanica, Fushe Kosova and Obiliq, a project which will last 5 years.

While the Director of the KfW office for Kosovo and North Macedonia, Reme Moritz said that this project has been evaluated for a year and a half, a year since the financing contracts were signed to ensure the financing of around 50 million euros. He also said that 20 million euros are frozen by Europe, but he hopes that they will be unlocked with positive political developments.

Likewise, the Deputy Minister of Economy, Getoar Mjeku, said that this project will reach the value of 200 million euros for the part of the sewerage network, the corrector and the plant for the treatment of polluted water.
