The Government of Kosovo approves the concept document for confiscation of unjustifiable property
The Government of Kosovo has approved the concept document on unjustifiable property, an action that paves the way for the drafting of a special law on confiscation of unjustifiable property. The new law was said to enable the confiscation of unjustifiably acquired property even in the absence of a conviction. In today's meeting of the Government of Kosovo it was said that such a thing enables the proper functioning of the system of confiscation of property.
The Minister of Justice, Albulena Haxhiu said that this draft law will clearly define the reasons for confiscation of property, adding that the concept paper which was presented at the government meeting, provides a qualitative analysis on the need to confiscate unjustifiably property.
