Albanian students from the Presheva Valley who live in our country are not subsidized for textbooks. Even after the beginning of the new school year, they have not been provided with books and other materials. In the absence of Kosovo documents, their parents cannot apply on the e-Kosova platform for subsidy. And while this is considered injustice by experts in the education system, the Minister of Education, Arbërie Nagavci, says that no student will be left without textbooks.

A parent from Medvegja told KosovaPress that he cannot afford to buy books for his two children.

Agimi, who speaks on the condition of anonymity, says that the two children who attend school in Prishtina have not yet been provided with textbooks. He says that they were born in Kosovo, but he himself was recently granted a residence permit.

From the beginning, when the opportunity to apply for textbook subsidies was opened, he says that they notified the ministry and the school directorate, but did not receive a response.

Rinor Qehaja, director at the Institute for Education Studies "EdGuard", tells KosovaPress that the practice of subsidizing school textbooks has several drawbacks.

He emphasizes that there are cases of misuse of these tools, when the diaspora applies because children do not attend school in Kosovo.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Education, Arbërie Nagavci, says that no student will be left without textbooks.

KosovaPress has tried to get an answer from the Government of Kosovo about the facilities that are being applied for equipment with Kosovo documents by the residents of the Presheva Valley, however, until the publication of this news, they have not returned an answer. /Sh. Pajaziti/
