The owners of these businesses have expressed concern about the fact that the government has compensated the houses damaged by the floods in this part of the city, while not allocating a single cent for them.
Fidan Cimili, the owner of a window and door business in the "Bosnian Quarter" in the north of Mitrovica, tells KosovaPress that it is very bad, and that despite submitting all the necessary documentation, he has not yet received any response.
According to him, any support from the state at this time would be very significant for his business.
Meanwhile, Nexhat Uglanin, chairman of the Municipal Assembly of Northern Mitrovica, at the same time chairman of the flood damage assessment commission, said that there are a total of six businesses affected by the floods that have not been compensated so far and that he does not know the reason for this.
On the other hand, KosovaPress has not been able to get an answer from the government about this issue for two weeks now. /A. Damati
