The European Union has a proposal to get out of the crisis in the north of the country, that came as a result of the resignation of the Serbs from the institutions of Kosovo.

The High Representative of the EU, Josep Borrell, has said that the proposal, which must first be discussed, is a good way out of this situation.

In a press release before the start of the meeting of the Council of Ministers of the EU, Borrell called the two parties, Kosovo and Serbia, to fulfill their commitments and to respect the commitments for the implementation of the past agreements that they have reached many years ago.

‘We will discuss about the Western Balkans. Kosovo and Serbia have kept me kept me busy this weekend in Paris. I met with the Prime minister Kurti and President Vucic. We are unhappily on the hedge of another crisis. We have to go up to the crisis mode and look for it in the structural approach. We presented a proposal. This proposal has to be discussed; it is a good way out of this situation. I have to go to both parties, to fulfill their commitments, to respect the engagements, to implement the past agreements, that have already been agreed many years ago, and embark on looking for a structural solution’, said Borrell.
