The EU and UNDP continue to help those most affected by COVID-19 in Kosovo

The European Union (EU) Office in Kosovo and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) will formally launch a joint action tomorrow to help citizens particularly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The EU-funded Humanitarian Aid Project (HAP), implemented by UNDP, will provide additional human resources for social work centers throughout Kosovo, namely 40 UN volunteers / social workers, and temporary support for approximately 7,500 families living in extreme poverty distributing food vouchers, hygiene and other necessary items every month for the next six months from May 2021. Tomas Szunyog, Head of the EU Office in Kosovo / EU Special Representative, Hekuran Murati, Minister of Finance, will participate in the launch of the voucher program for families in need and the engagement of UN volunteers, Labor and Transfers, Maria Suokko, UNDP Resident Representative in Kosovo and other representatives of the EU Office, UNDP, UNV and Kosovo institutions.
