The head of the European Union Office in Kosovo, Tomas Szunyog, has condemned the burning of cars with RKS license plates in the north of the country.

He said that the destruction of private property for the purpose of intimidation is unacceptable and must be condemned by all.

"We strongly condemn the burning of vehicles recently re-registered with Kosovo license plates in the north of Kosovo. The destruction of private property, which has occurred in the last two days, with the aim of intimidating the local population, is deplorable and unacceptable and must be condemned by all relevant actors," the EU ambassador wrote on Twitter.

The Kosovo Police has stated that in the north of the country it was reported that three cars belonging to persons of Serbian nationality were set on fire.

Also, two other cars were set on fire the other day.
