The Embassy of Japan donates grant to the Family Medicine Center in Decan
The Embassy of Japan in Kosovo has donated a grant to the Family Medicine Center in Decan, in support of improving healthcare services in this municipality.
Medical equipment donated by the Embassy of Japan in Kosovo was presented at the Family Medicine Center in Decan. The donation, worth around 46,000 euros, includes an ultrasound machine and a gynecological chair.
The Ambassador of Japan to Kosovo, Kiminori Iwama, while recalling that this family medicine center was supported by the Japanese government as early as 2001 through the Red Cross, said that the embassy and the Japanese people are willing and interested in continuing to help the Municipality of Decan.
"This center has been renovated and supported by the Japanese government and the Red Cross since 2001, and this is the first direct aid provided to the Municipality of Decan for the Center. The embassy and the Japanese people are ready and interested in helping the Municipality of Decan and the people of Kosovo in the future," he said.
Meanwhile, the Mayor of Decan, Bashkim Ramosaj, thanked the state of Japan for its assistance in the health sector for this municipality since the end of the war until today.
"This facility exists thanks to the Japanese people, the Japanese government, and the Red Cross, which was the best news for citizens at that time when the city was practically non-existent. Over time, we have had the dedication and care of the Japanese embassy, the Japanese people, and the government as well, and it has resulted in the latest cooperation, which holds a deeply meaningful significance, enabling this center to operate at the standard it functions with today," he said.
