The Embassy of the Republic of Albania in Kosovo has honored the figure of the great director Dhimitër Anagnosti, by opening the book of condolences following his passing on September 1.

In his speech, the Ambassador of Albania to Kosovo, Petrit Malaj, stated that Anagnosti's passing is a great loss for Albanian culture and society.

"Albanian society, filmmakers, actors, the Albanian people have lost one of the luminaries, one of those who embroidered Albanian film. I know him as a true methodist, as a school director full of cinematic art. I liked that moment of the extraordinary work he did with the actors, but above all, we have lost the person who brought the full character of Albanians to the screen. With his films, he unraveled Albanian life in all its color and managed to convey this brilliantly to the audience, his film has made a strong impression", said Malaj.

Dhimitër Anagnosti remains one of the most important figures of Albanian cinematography, appreciated for the works that reflected the life, character and spirit of Albanians on the big screen
