The Committee approved the Draft Law on Amending and Supplementing the Law on Religious Freedom

The Committee on Human Rights, Gender Equality, for Missing Persons, Victims of War Sexual Violence and Petitions today approved the Draft Law on Amending and Supplementing the Law on Religious Freedom. However, the boycott of the MPs of the Serbian List in the Assembly of Kosovo is seen as an obstacle for the further progress of this draft law, as their presence in the session is required.

The Chairperson of the Committee on Human Rights, Duda Balje, invited the member of this Committee from the Serbian List to join her to work on this draft law. As she said, it is not yet known who is a member of this parliamentary group from the Serbian List.

Considering this draft law on religious freedom as a law in favor of all religions in Kosovo, Balje said that with this situation in the Assembly, they do not expect this draft law to be approved...
