The challenges faced by "Prishtina Parking" during 2023

The year 2023 for the public enterprise "Prishtina Parking" was quite challenging, due to addressing problems in management segments.

Officials of this company indicate that from 2024 the new approved rules will be implemented, which will remove the payment for the first car for residents, reduce the payment for the second car, extend the schedule until 23:00 and also there will be a 24-hour ticket which costs 20 euros.

The CEO of the company "Prishtina Parking", Sokol Havolli, tells KosovaPress that 2023 has been one of the challenging years, but that they have successfully managed to overcome the challenges, which has affected the performance aspect.

Havolli indicates that the company has also recorded an increase in revenues from car parking in the areas they manage.

Part of the new regulation, in addition to the extension of the schedule until 23:00, is the removal of the payment for the first car and the release of the price for the second car for residents, prohibits the placement of billboards in the neighborhood and a 24-hour ticket that citizens can use it for 24 hours.

The company "Prishtina Parking" intends for the next year to initiate the project for the digitization of all parking lots, the installation of various sensors, equipment for residents with chips in order to reduce the need for checks.

The price for car parking is divided according to zones 1, 2 and 3 in the capital. For zone 1, timed parking of a vehicle for one hour costs 1 euro or 7.5 days. In the second zone, this amount is 50 cents for an hour and 5 euros per day, while for the third zone it is 0.30 cents or 1.5 euros per day.

Parking for residents - 1 car for zone 1 costs 10 euros per month, for the second car 30 and for the third car or more cars 45 euros. In the second zone, 7 euros for the first car, 15 euros for the second car and 30 euros for three or more cars. The third zone captures the figures of 5 euros for the first car, 10 euros for the second car and 15 euros for three or more cars for a month.
