The CEC announces preliminary results; votes sent by mail are expected to arrive by the end of next week

The Central Election Commission (CEC) has published the preliminary results of the second round of elections in 18 municipalities of Kosovo.

At a press conference, the chairperson of the Central Election Commission (CEC), Kreshnik Radoniqi, announced the results of each municipality separately.

“In Gjakovë, Ardian Gjini has received 56.03 percent – 17,024 votes. Ardian Gola, 43.97 percent. In Gjilan, Alban Hyseni 61.06 percent, Arbër Ismajli 38.94 percent. In Dragash, Bexhet Xheladini 58.45 percent, Shaban Shabani 41.55 percent. In Kaçanik, Sabedin Vishi 51.86 percent, Jeton Raka 48.14 percent. In Klinë, Zenun Elezaj 58.02 percent, Sokol Bashota 41.98 percent. In Fushë Kosovë, Valon Prebrezaj 54.99 percent, Besnik Osmani 45.01 percent. In South Mitrovica, Faton Peci 53.53 percent, Arian Tahiri 46.47 percent. One note regarding South Mitrovica, two polling stations have not yet been included and will be updated later on the platform. In Obiliq, Halil Thaçi 51.09 percent, Xhafer Gashi 48.91 percent. In Rahovec, Smajl Latifi 53 percent, Ali Dula 47 percent. In Pejë, Gazmend Muhaxheri 61.15 percent, Taulant Kelmendi 38.85 percent. In Prishtinë, Përparim Rama 51.54 percent, Hajrulla Çeku 48.46 percent. In Prizren, Shaqir Totaj 53.86 percent, Artan Abrashi 46.14 percent. In Suharekë, Bali Muharremaj 55.60 percent, Ardian Shala 44.40 percent. In Viti, Sokol Haliti 50.60 percent, Arsim Ademi 49.40 percent. In Vushtrri, Ferit Adrizi 54.27 percent, Sylejman Meholli 45.73 percent. In Junik, Ruzhdi Shehu 55.92 percent, Agron Kuçi 44.08 percent. In Mamushë, Abdulhadi Krasniç 53.58 percent, Fikret Morina 46.42 percent. And in Kllokot, Bozhidar Dejanoviq 90.03 percent, Sreqko Spasiq 9.97 percent,” he announced.

He said they expect to receive votes sent by mail by the end of next week.

He also said that the final results will be announced after counting the diaspora votes, conditional ballots, and those of persons with disabilities.
