The capital with public-private investment, the construction of the school in "Sofali" begins
Three more schools with public-private partnership, with full-day classes, will be added to Prishtina next year. One of them is "Sofalia" High School with capacity for 720 students.
The foundation stone of the "Sofalia" Lower Secondary School was laid today by the mayor of the capital, Përparim Rama, and the vice-mayor of this municipality at the same time, the director of Education, Jehona Lushaku-Sadriu.
Mayor Përparim Rama emphasized that the capital's schools will be transformed into smart schools with digital curriculum and full-day classes.
According to Rama, these three public-private partnership schools have cost the municipality of Prishtina 15.4 million euros.
Meanwhile, the vice-mayor of the municipality, Jehona Lushaku-Sadriu, has said about this project that it will be a completely European school. The new school year 2024/25 started yesterday, even in two schools with full-day classes.
Lushaku-Sadriu has added that most of the students lack books until now.
The second phase of the new pilot project with full-day classes will start on September 30 in 3 other schools.
