Today marks the 52nd anniversary of the founding of the University of Prishtina "Hasan Prishtina". The University of Prishtina is the largest university in Kosovo and one of the largest in the region. In recent years, UP has been ranked among the best universities in the region. UP is a member of the Association of European Universities and has cooperation with Western European and American universities and institutions. UP was established by the Law on the Establishment of the University of Prishtina, which was approved by the Assembly of Kosovo on November 18, 1969. The establishment of the University of Prishtina was a historic event for the people of Kosovo and especially for the Albanian nation. The Constituent Assembly of the University of Prishtina was held on February 13, 1970, and two days later, on February 15, 1970, the solemn meeting of the Assembly was held and the date of February 15 was declared the Day of the University of Prishtina. /KosovaPress/
