The 21 police officers killed in the line of duty are honored
The Kosovo Police held a series of activities on Tuesday to mark the Memorial Day for police officers who lost their life in the line of duty. To honor the 21 policemen who over the years lost their lives in the line of duty, the Speaker of the Assembly, Glauk Konjufca, the Minister of Internal Affairs, Xhelal Sveçla and the Director of the Kosovo Police, Samedin Mehmeti, laid wreaths at the tombstones of the heroes in the capital, while there was also a parade of the guard and police units.
The Speaker of the Parliament, Glauk Konjufca, said that the Kosovo Police has become the most reliable institution for our people.
He said that the 21 police officers who lost their life in the line of duty are the heroes of state-building, rule of law and democracy in Kosovo.
