The former chief negotiator of Kosovo in the dialogue with Serbia, Edita Tahiri, is optimistic that there will be a vote in favor of Kosovo's membership in the Council of Europe, at the May meeting of the Committee of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Council of Europe. Despite the pressure of international allies to start the procedures for the establishment of the Association of municipalities with a Serbian majority, Tahiri says that Kosovo has met all the criteria and that the Association should not be a condition for membership in this international organization.

For KosovaPress, Tahiri also talks about the dialogue with Serbia, the possibilities for the former Slovenian president, Borut Pahor, to be the representative of the EU for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, as well as the government of Prime Minister Albin Kurti.

Former Deputy Prime Minister Tahiri says that the current Brussels dialogue is dead, as the Basic Agreement of Brussels and the Ohrid annex is not being implemented.

Speaking about the opportunities offered by the former Slovenian president, Borut Pahor, she says that he is a serious politician and that Slovenia supports the independence of Kosovo.

In addition, Tahiri accuses Prime Minister Albin Kurti of not having the skills for the state or for governance.
