Citizens in Kosovo are paying higher electricity prices than in previous years, said the head of the PDK Parliamentary Group, Arian Tahiri.
During the extraordinary session of the Assembly, where electricity prices and billing for consumers are being discussed, he said that since 2020, electricity prices have continuously increased, KosovaPress reports.
According to him, scandals in the energy sector have become systematic and routine."I think it is important to work with responsibility, with ethics, and not with scandals involving state reserves and continuous issues with electricity. The reality is that citizens pay more for electricity every month than in previous months and years. This is bad, it is shameful. This is a lack of responsibility, ethics, and correctness… Millions are being made while directly harming the citizens of Kosovo. Since 2020, electricity prices have had a continuous increase,” he said.
