The loss to Kosovo has been the final straw for Jon Dahl Tomasson. According to “Aftonbladet,” the Swedish Football Association has decided to dismiss the Danish coach from his role as national team manager.

Sweden has only one point after four matches in the World Cup qualifiers and sits at the bottom of the group, which is led by Switzerland.

Tomasson took charge of the team in March 2024 and has achieved a total of nine wins during his tenure.

According to reports, former player Kim Källström informed the national team players about the decision.

The names being mentioned as potential replacements are Graham Potter, Olof Mellberg, and Peter Gerhardsson.

Sweden still has two remaining matches in the November qualifiers, against Switzerland and Slovenia.
