Suspicions of vote manipulation, Prosecutor’s Office authorizes investigations in Obiliq

The Basic Prosecution Office in Pristina has informed the public that it is closely monitoring the vote recount process for the general elections held on December 28, 2025.

According to the Prosecution’s statement, during this process suspicions have been identified regarding discrepancies in the results of candidates for parliament, following the completion of the vote count in the municipality of Obiliq.

In this regard, the State Prosecutor has authorized the Kosovo Police to initiate preliminary investigations aimed at verifying the accuracy of the results and determining whether there were possible violations by responsible individuals.

The Basic Prosecution Office in Pristina emphasized that it remains committed to protecting citizens’ free vote and addressing every suspected case, with the aim of preserving the integrity of the electoral process and the rule of law.
