Stavileci: Positive signals from the field, strong support for change
Blerand Stavileci, a member of the leadership of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), stated that election day is heading toward a very important result for the PDK, emphasizing that they are receiving positive signals and strong support for change from the field.
In a statement to the media, less than four hours before the polling stations closed, Stavileci said that this is a special day for democracy and the future of the country, as citizens are deciding by vote the direction they want to give Kosovo.
“Today is a special day for our democracy and for the future of our country. Today, the citizens of Kosovo are deciding by vote the direction they want to give to the state, how they want to live tomorrow, and the hope they want to give their children. Up to this moment, less than four hours before the polling stations close, the data from the field are positive. Clear messages are coming in, there is strong support for change, with full confidence in development and a better life for every citizen of Kosovo. According to the data so far, this day is heading toward a very important result for the PDK, toward a level of support and a number of votes that are historic for us. Therefore, our invitation is sincere and direct,” he said.
Stavileci called on citizens who have not yet voted to exercise their right.
He added that the PDK believes in a Kosovo with more political stability, more jobs, more prosperity, and more hope for young people.
“If you haven’t voted yet, don’t leave your vote at home, don’t leave it for others. Today, each of us holds a great responsibility, and you who haven’t voted yet, go out and vote. Every vote counts. From each of our votes, a future is built for everyone, because today is not the day to wait, it is the day to decide. We believe Kosovo can and must do better. There can be more political stability, more jobs, more prosperity, and more hope for the youth who are deciding their future today,” he added.
According to the CEC, the number of voters who had cast their ballots by 3:00 p.m. was 575,697.
