Kosovo Customs officials have seized a significant quantity of goods suspected of violating intellectual property rights during routine inspections at the Han i Elezit Border Crossing.
According to an official statement, during a detailed inspection of a traveler’s luggage, around 4,500 different items were discovered, including clothing, labels, and metal accessories bearing distinctive marks of well-known brands. These items are suspected of being intended for counterfeiting and presenting non-original products as genuine branded goods, KosovaPress reports.
The goods have been temporarily detained until the completion of the relevant procedures, and administrative proceedings have been initiated against the individual involved, in accordance with current legislation.
Kosovo Customs stated that it remains committed to protecting intellectual property rights and preventing the import and circulation of illegal goods./KosovaPress
