Customs officials at the Vërmica border crossing have prevented an attempt to bring undeclared goods into the territory of the Republic of Kosovo during a routine inspection conducted today.

According to a statement from Customs, during the inspection of a passenger vehicle, 18 bags containing 144 pairs of “Nike” sports shoes were found. The goods had been hidden in the vehicle’s luggage and were not declared upon entry into the territory.

“The party in question did not possess an invoice for the goods, and according to legal procedures, the goods have been temporarily detained at the border crossing until the completion of the procedures,” the Kosovo Customs stated.
