A prisoner died today in the Neurology Clinic at the University Clinical Center of Kosovo (UCCK). The Council for the Protection of Human Rights and Freedoms (CDHRF) has reacted by saying that for eight months in Kosovo, four prisoners with tertiary diagnoses have died. In this case, the executive director of the CDHRF, Behxhet Shala, has once again demanded the release from prisons of the category which does not pose a danger, and others who have served a large part of their sentence. Shala told KosovaPress that the prison health service has made a request to the court for the release of these categories, but that nothing has been done about this due to the lack of a legal basis.
