Several arrested for unauthorized possession of weapons in Prishtina and Obiliq

Police have arrested several individuals in separate cases for unauthorized possession of weapons.

According to the 24-hour report of the Kosovo Police, five people were arrested on Thursday alone in these two municipalities. The first case occurred on “Bardhosh Gërvalla” Street in Prishtina, where one person was arrested after a pistol with nine rounds was found in his vehicle. The case will be processed under regular procedure.

Two others were arrested on “Shaip Spahia” Street in Prishtina after police found two firearms with magazines and 30 rounds of ammunition. By order of the prosecutor, they were placed in detention.

Meanwhile, in the village of Grabovc in Obiliq, two individuals were arrested after two firearms were found during a search. Although the weapons were licensed for sport shooting, they were confiscated. After being interviewed, the suspects were released under regular procedure.
