The Chief State Prosecutor, Aleksandër Lumezi, has requested from the Chief Prosecutor of the Basic Prosecution in Peja, Agim Kurmehaj, as a competent authority, to review the criminal case of prosecutor Lirije Morina and from the findings to take all necessary actions under the law on disciplinary responsibility of judges and prosecutors. This reaction of the Chief Prosecutor Lumezi comes after the prosecutor in question has not filed a complaint against the perpetrator of the 15-year-old in Gjakova who was sentenced to only 8 months and 8 days in prison and thus the decision has taken final form. The Feminist Collective for Thought and Action also organized today a symbolic action regarding the case of the low sentence for rape by the Basic Court in Peja.
