15 years ago, on February 17, 2008, the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo announced the Declaration of Independence. On this occasion, the candidate for president of Serbia, Nikola Sandulović, who is on an official visit to Kosovo, paid respects at the Memorial cemetery in Prekaz.

Accompanied by the heads of state of Kosovo, Sandulović said after the respects, that he will do everything to make the criminals pay for the terrible crimes committed.

"It is a difficult day and a great honor that this government has made it possible for me, with your honorable president and your honorable prime minister, to make it possible for me, on behalf of honest Serbia, to apologize profusely and ask for forgiveness for all the crimes committed by Milosevic and this current government in Serbia, crimes that have been committed against you. I will do everything to hold the criminals who committed such a terrible crime against you accountable. May God bless you with health and may God give us a well-deserved peace for everyone, thank you", said Sandulović.
