Saathoff: Germany plans to support Kosovo on its path toward the EU

Germany expects that Kosovo will soon constitute its Assembly and form its new government. This was stated by the German Parliamentary State Secretary to the Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development, Johann Saathoff, who is on an official visit to Kosovo.

During his visit to the Innovation and Training Park in Prizren (ITP), he said that for Germany it is important to have reliable partners for cooperation.

The Parliamentary State Secretary to the Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development, Johann Saathoff, emphasized that the Innovation and Training Park in Prizren is an example of successful cooperation between the two countries.

The German official further stressed that his country plans to contribute to Kosovo’s efforts on its European path.

According to him, since 1999 Germany has supported Kosovo with around 900 million euros in various programs.

Meanwhile, the acting Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship, and Trade, Rozeta Hajdari, said that the Innovation and Training Center is an important step for regional development in the Western Balkans.

Hajdari stressed that Kosovo sees Germany as its main partner for rapid development and European integration.

During his visit, the German Parliamentary State Secretary to the Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development, Johann Saathoff, also scheduled meetings with state leaders, civil society representatives, and visits to projects supported by the German government. /B.Ibishi/
