Reform agenda, Kurti: Kosovo can benefit 882 million euros from the EU

The Government of Kosovo has approved the reform agenda of Kosovo within the EU instrument for reforms and economic growth in the Western Balkans.

As a result of this plan, it was said that Kosovo can benefit up to 882 million euros as part of the EU Growth Plan for the region.

In today's meeting, the government also approved the draft law on services and payments, it was agreed that in the next meeting they will allocate 200 thousand euros to Bosnia after the floods, as well as allocate about 58 thousand euros to 22 self-financed medical specialists from the Presheva Valley, Albania and Montenegro. Meanwhile, they appointed Besim Kamberaj, general secretary in the Ministry of Regional Development.

Prime Minister Albin Kurti said that the implementation of the plan within the framework of Kosovo's reforms is a special priority of the executive.

Explaining the need for the Draft Law for payment services, the Minister of Finance, Hekuran Murati, said that through it the path to the integration of the financial system with the SEPA area (Single Euro Payments Area) will be opened.

According to him, with SEPA integration, , our businesses and citizens are expected to save around 50 million euros per year from transfer fees.

The chief diplomat of Kosovo, Donika Gërvalla, requested that 200,000 euros be allocated to Bosnia after the floods that occurred there last week.

This request was welcomed by Prime Minister Albin Kurti and Deputy Prime Minister, Emilja Rexhepi. In addition to these, the government also approved the regulation on the procedure for the admission of public service employees in the health sector, and a number of other draft laws. /E.Zeqiri/
