Publicist Shkelzen Maliqi says that the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, together with the Parliamentary Group of Vetëvendosje, used the attempt to change the Law on Elections as blackmail for the opposition.

Maliqi told KosovaPress that it was not necessary for this law to be sent with an accelerated procedure and that it should have been approved earlier. He says that Albin Kurti's scenario was to prevent Vjosa Osmani from beinf elected president and thus to go to the polls and win even more votes
