The Directorate of Education in the Municipality of Prizren has not distributed textbooks and teaching aids for the year 2023-2024.

This is what the Director of Education in this municipality, Luljeta Veselaj Gutaj, stated during her report to the Parliamentary Investigative Committee on the process of subsidizing the purchase of textbooks and teaching aids for Primary and Lower Secondary students for the 2023/2024 school year.

She informed that there were children whose books were found by the school community.

The chairman of this committee, Shemsedin Dreshaj, asked the director Veselaj Gutaj what are the problems that this directorate encountered regarding the distribution of school textbooks.

Gutaj answered that the reason that this directorate did not distribute the texts is because they were not informed.

This municipality received the subsidy information after a statement by MEST in the media.

Also, she added that the parents bought the books from their budget and this is proven by the parents' statements.
