Pristina Mayor Përparim Rama has announced the winning projects of the competition for the construction of the “Adem Jashari” Memorial in the capital.
According to Rama, the concept awarded first place by the professional jury will be implemented in Pristina, reflecting the historical, national, and emotional significance carried by the figure of the Legendary Commander Adem Jashari and the Jashari family.
The winning memorial, titled “Voice of Freedom” (“Zâni i Lirisë”), has been designed as a lasting symbol of freedom and sacrifice for the state of Kosovo.Rama said the project was inspired by Adem Jashari’s words: “A pledge is a pledge; there is only one death in this life. And one good word,” transforming his voice into a symbol that will live on through generations.
According to him, the memorial will serve as a permanent reminder of the struggle for freedom and the sacrifice of the Jashari family, while the voice of the Legendary Commander will continue to echo in the heart of Kosovo.
