Citizens of Kosovo will be able to travel twice a week directly to Amsterdam, since today the first direct flight was inaugurated at Prishtina International Airport "Adem Jashari".

Levent Kaylaj, the director of operations at Prishtina International Airport, expressed his happiness that they are opening new flight gates.

He said that this line is important to grow and preserve Kosovo-Netherlands relations.

The Ambassador of the Netherlands to Kosovo, Karin Boven, considered the beginning of direct Prishtina-Amsterdam flights a great moment for bilateral relations between Kosovo and the Netherlands.

The possibility of flights from Kosovo to Amsterdam and vice versa has been welcomed by travelers.

Nihal Shehu-Shurdhani, who was traveling from Prishtina to Amsterdam, expressed her joy that her journeys with this line have become easier.

Also Naim Sahatçiu considers the opening of the Prishtina-Amsterdam airline line a positive step.

He says that this line also shortens the journey of passengers.

Representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora of Kosovo also participated in the inauguration ceremony of the first Amsterdam-Prishtina flight. /B.Ibishi/
