Positive expectations for visa liberalization

On October 13, the European Council will start the procedure which is expected to lead to the formal decision on the liberalization of visas for Kosovo.

The issue of free movement for Kosovars will be on the agenda in the first discussion of the working group of the EU Council. In Kosovo, they expect this process to move forward with increased dynamics and within a short period of time, citizens will move without visas in the Schengen Area.

The Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo, Besnik Bislimi, stated a few days ago that the meeting on October 13 is not the final step for the liberalization of visas, adding that there are five steps that must be followed until the finalization of this process.

The chairman of the Committee for Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Haki Abazi, expects that this process will be accelerated after this meeting...
