The Economic Crimes Unit of the Kosovo Police, under the leadership of the Basic Prosecution Office in Prizren, is conducting an operation in several cities across Kosovo, targeting more than 40 suspected individuals, reports KosovaPress.

This was confirmed to KosovaPress by the Chief Prosecutor of the Basic Prosecution Office in Prizren, Petrit Kryeziu, who said that the operation is still ongoing.

“I can confirm that I am leading an operation that is currently underway. We are targeting over 40 individuals, and it is being carried out across all cities of Kosovo,” Kryeziu said.

According to “Burimi për Drejtësi,” several individuals have been arrested so far in the regions of Prizren, Prishtina, Peja, Gjilan, Ferizaj, Mitrovica, and Gjakova. The operation is related to the commission of criminal offenses including “abuse of trust,” “abuse of authority in economic activities,” “assisting in abuse of trust,” and “forgery of documents.”
