Frequent movements of Kosovo Police and EULEX vehicles are observed near the barricade placed two days ago at the crossroads near the technical school in the north of Mitrovica.
The barricade continues to remain in this location, while civilians can also be seen from that part who have increased their movements near the barricade.
The barricades in the north, which became an obstacle to freedom of movement, seem to be counting down the last hours. At least this is what was implied by the words of the Serbian president, Aleksandar Vučić, who gave a deadline until Friday night when they can be removed.
"In 24 hours or 48 hours, the barricades will be removed", he said after the meeting with the representatives of the Serbs from Kosovo on Wednesday night at the barracks of the Serbian Army in Rashka, near the border with Kosovo.
These statements came after the change in the security measure for former policeman Dejan Pantic, who was arrested on December 10 as a suspect for terrorism and an attack on Kosovo's institutions. The government accused the judiciary of changing the measure, while the opposition blamed the government for colluding with Serbia.
